01 / What is Ikiru

生きる  →   to live

生きる

Most people are busy.
Almost no one is alive.

Ikiru is Kurosawa's 1952 film about a man who spent his entire career being useful — and then discovered, in his final days, that he had never actually lived. The moment he found his purpose, he became undeniable. People could feel it.

This is not a brand about productivity. It is not a brand about faith. It is a brand about the one question underneath all other questions: am I actually living?

02 / The Story
I didn't leave the pastoral work. I translated it.

Six months ago, I walked out of my pastoral internship to become a founder. And the first thing that happened was a drop — a real one. Cluttered mind. No identity. Too many things happening at once, none of them adding up.

What came out of that desert wasn't a startup pitch. It was clarity. About what I was actually called to do — not within the walls of an institution, but in the world. Designing systems. Discovering what people really need. Building things that serve.

I still feed the sheep. I just changed the building.

The pastoral function

"Feed my sheep, that my sheep may know my voice."

— John 21:17. The source code of everything being built here.

What
I stand
for.

Five principles that run through every piece of content, every product, every conversation.

01
01
Aliveness

Not productivity. The full, embodied experience of living with drive, meaning, and presence.

02
02
Depth

A presenting need is never the real need. We go underneath every surface question.

03
03
Care

Not charity. Serious service. You deserve to be met at your actual level, not a safe version of it.

04
04
Authorship

You are the designer of your life. Every tool built here returns agency to you.

05
05
Proof

Samuel doesn't just teach this. He lives it publicly. The brand is the experiment.

04 / The Platform

Find what you
actually
need.

Ikiru is not a marketplace for products. It is a marketplace for needs. You come in with a problem — we go deep, surface the real need underneath, and match you with businesses that are genuinely here to serve it.

01 →

Needs Discovery AI. A deeply curious mechanism that finds out what you actually need — not what you think you need.

02 →

Matched Businesses. Only brands with real substance and a genuine reason to serve Gen Z get a place here.

03 →

Community Energy. A flywheel of people who are serious about living well — not performing it.

04 →

No social media required. If you're a brand that truly serves, you won't need to fight the algorithm to find your people.

Let's begin

Are you actually living — or just moving through?
